How to show the full header of a newsgroup post
Select your Newsreader:
Forte Agent Newsreader
In Agent, click on the message to highlight it, then go to the menu bar
with the mouse and click on "Message". The menu will open up and allow you to
select the "Show All Header Fields" by clicking on it. There is a keyboard
shortcut for this option.. pressing the keys at the same time.
Internet News (with IE 3.x)
Once the news message is highlighted in the message tree portion of the
window (upper half), click on the "File" menu item and pull the mouse
completely to the bottom of the menu to the "Properties" and click on it.
Another window will open up showing two tabs at the top, General &
Details. Click on the "Details" tab and all header information will be
displayed in the window. Infomation can be copied and pasted to a new message
with standard Windows conventions.
Netscape Collabra Newsreader (with Netscape
Navigator 4.x)
Once the Message is highlighted in the Netscape Discussion Group window,
click on the "View" menu item, pull the mouse down to "Headers", move the
mouse over to the arrow and a sub menu will appear with the "All" choice.
Click once upon the "All".
Netscape News (with Netscape 3.x)
Highlight the message by clicking on the subject line in the upper right
quarter of the newsreader window. Once highlighted, click on the "Options"
menu item, pull the mouse down to the "Headers" line. Move the mouse toward
the arrow on the same line for the sub menu to display, click on the "All"
selection.
