We monitor our bandwidth on a montly basis with bi-monthly notices for severe projected
overages. The calculator on the right is designed as an estimation tool for you to
help gauge your projected monthly bandwidth usage.
"Page Size", "Size of Images" & "Size of Other Files" should be a total of the average size of a page within your site. This number combined with "Page Hits Per Month" should give you an idea of your projected bandwidth usage over the course of 30 days. Remember, some months have more or less than 30 days and it's impossible to be completely accurate concerning the number of page hits your site is likely to encounter. This calculator does not account for traffic other than page hits. Email, administration & content management are a few examples of traffic that is logged against your total. |
